The New 2005 Adrenalin Award Nomination Process

We have heard your voices and we are addressing your concerns. The nomination process for the 2005 Adrenalin Awards has been slightly modified. We believe this change will result in a more diverse selection of candidates for all who will become Adrenalin Award Nominees.

Current Nomination Process

• An equal number of individuals from different regions of the country are selected to nominate candidates for each category.
• After all of the nomination forms are submitted, each category is examined individually and each nominee in that category receive one point for each nomination.
• The individual or group with the highest number of points across the board appears on the final voting ballot.
• Names of individuals who serve are not disclosed other nominators or the general skating population. Why? This is done to try to prevent people’s decisions or choices being altered or influenced by other individuals or outside factors.
  
  New 2005 Nomination Process
  

• Anyone who would like to be considered to be a part of the nomination process will have an opportunity to participate.
• Those who would like to contribute to the nomination process will be asked to submit an application and provide general information about who they are and why they want to be a part of the nomination process.
• Once applications are received and reviewed, they will be placed in groups according to geographical regions. An equal number of applications from each region will be selected, at random, and applicants will be contacted to confirm their participation and nomination packets will be distributed.
• The nomination packets will be due by a deadline date specified in the instructions.

At this point, the nomination process will continue as stated in the current process.
