How long have you been skating?
Linda: I have been skating since December 1981 and I've been with the Philly
Wizards on Wheels a little over 10 years.
MBR:
Where are you originally from?
Linda: Philly
MBR:
We all have reasons why we skate. Why do you skate? What motivates you to skate?
Linda: First it was the exercise. Now its both the exercise and
to relieve stress and tension.
MBR:
When you first heard of the Adrenalin Awards, what were your thoughts? How did
you feel about it?
Linda: I thought it was an excellent idea.
I thought it would help skaters show their skills a little more.
MBR:
Now that the first one has passed, do you feel the same better or worse?
Linda: I feel excellent. Looking forward for the next one.
MBR:
How did you feel when you found out you were an Adrenalin Nominee?
Linda:
I was truly excited. Didn't believe it at first. Thought they were just kidding
with me, until I received the certificate.
MBR:
Did you campaign to get people to vote for you or did you just sit back and let
the voters make an unsolicited decision?
Linda: I let the voters
make their decisions
MBR:
Did you think you had a chance at winning? If not, who in your category did you
think would win?
Linda: I didn't think I had a chance. Thought
it would be Aretha from New York.
MBR:
How did you feel when you won?
Linda: Excited - Wonderful - Blessed
- Grateful
MBR:
Were you nervous when you went up to accept your award?
Linda: Yes
most definitely.
MBR:
Have you won any trophies in skating competitions?
Linda: Yes....
back in the day
MBR:
Is the Adrenalin Award any different from the others that you have won?
Linda: Totally different. Much better.
MBR:
What do you think the Adrenalin Awards means to the roller skating community?
Linda: It means to encourage more skaters out there to show their
skills off. Skate with what they have and what they know.
MBR:
Do you have any comments or other information you would like to share?
Linda: God Bless each and every skater out there in the world. May we continue
to grow closer and closer as one big family. "Gods Family" Psalms 23
